1995:
MA ART IN CONTEXT:
Researched sound/image ideas for a software
to use with Photoshop. (See "RESEARCH")

2002:
I had a flood in my home which ruined all my old photographs.
After drying them out I was amazed at the textures and chance transferrance of imagery. I then investigated the idea that a photograph never stops recording, ie. surface damage, exposure, etc.

2007: I produced a series of Digital Collages related to the flood damaged photographs, which I edited together as a slide show with poetry by Dr. Keith Armstrong, I called the video Tapestry.

2008: I received a Digital Arts Fellowship from Teesside University and produced the first version of Coda using Mini Audicle and Chuck.(Coda. 01). It was very basic with amplitude and duration effecting the screen activity.

2010: (Coda.02) An upgrade was produced which gave more functionality to the software; Screenshot facility, waveform display and QuickTime import, this was shown at the Thinking Digital Conference at The Sage, Gateshead.

2011: Supported by Sunderland SES with a business start up, this funded the mobile platform version called iCoda. Using the Palimpsest image-set, this version is test marketing the idea to see if people would use the "open" version when it is released.
